American Institute of Education Scholarship

Following the Annual Membership Meeting at the 2009 AEA Convention, American Institute of Education (AIE) Director Ron Davis announced that the American Electrology Association (AEA), in conjunction with the American Institute of Education, would be offering a full tuition electrology scholarship annually to one lucky individual.

American Institute of EducationMr. Davis stated that, "An organization that provides educational scholarships projects a positive light on the organization itself as well as the profession it represents. Scholarships draw attention to those who are looking for a new career. Bringing new people into the profession infuses the associations/organizations with new excitement and energy. Without a doubt, this scholarship will benefit the electrology field greatly."

Recognizing that electrologists are in a profession that is in need of bright, forward thinking individuals, Mr. Davis touched on several electrology practices he sees thriving despite laser clinics and economic troubles in their areas. He believes that the success of these professionals is tied directly to their investment in themselves and their clients, through educational advancement and equipment purchases. Mr. Davis has found that graduates of AIE who return to receive mentoring have a 35% greater chance of succeeding and earning more revenue in their first five years than those who do not.

In addition to providing a scholarship, the American Institute of Education will also be providing a free one-year membership to the American Electrology Association to each graduate. AIE averages approximately thirty graduates each year, so this generous gift not only benefits the recent graduates, but the entire profession as well.

The AEA is grateful for the generosity of the AIE and Aesthetics Systems USA, Inc and has selected a scholarship committee, which will award the first scholarship in August 2010. Applications for the scholarship are available online, via the link below.
