General Information

The American Electrology Association (AEA) is the largest international nonprofit membership organization for permanent hair removal professionals. The AEA promotes the highest standards in electrology education, practice and ethics standards, and champions state licensing to protect the public interest.

The Association plays a key role in providing reliable and scientifically accurate information to its membership, the public, the medical community, and government agencies.

• Provides Legislative Assistance to state affiliated associations.
• Develops and provides the IBEC licensing exams; affordable, high-quality exams to all licensed states.

Membership Applications

When joining between July 1 and November 1 membership dues are prorated and your membership will be paid up for the current year and all of the following year.

New Members

• Print out BOTH the New Member Data Form AND New Member Application Form.
• To find your state's application form and dues amount, scroll down the pages until you reach your state application form. Bookmark (or indicate page numbers on print window) only the page you need and print. If your state is not listed, scroll to page 26 (Unaffiliated) and print.
• You must include documentation of schooling and/or state licensing.
• Accepted payment is by check or credit card.
